Oakland
Two minutes off I-5, is the historic community of Oakland. The first historic district in Oregon was established here. Once a thriving agricultural and railroad center, and later known as the "Turkey Capital of the Nation," Oakland maintains an atmosphere from the past. Original brick buildings dating from the 1890's include restaurants, antique shops, a gift shop, fine arts gallery, a hardware store and a museum.
